Barber Shop (Royal Series)

Barber Shops have played a huge role in the black community. Black barbers have been able to create hairstyles that shaped the image of the African American community.

A personal series that I’ve been working on for a few months. Inspired by the style of Norman Rockwell. Royals is about black people being stripped of everything (royal roots, family connection, etc.) and having to recreate our culture.
